Introduction
Pangasius bocourti (Sauvage, 1880) and Pangasius Hypophthalmus (Sauvage, 1878) started to be farmed in 60s year in Vietnam. In 1998, people succeed in mam-made reproduction to have enough breeding for commercial product.
It has a quick development in Mekong area, mainly in An Giang, Dong Thap and Can Tho and bring the big value in commercial for Mekong, especially in exporting to worl-wide market such as EURO ZONE, Eastern European, Middle East, Americans and even Asian countries. Pangasius is a very tasty fish with a delicate texture and nice white flesh compared with other catfish
